The Angelcare group grows and diversifies and now includes the recent acquisitions of Pabobo and Claessens’ Kids. 

We’re committed to giving parents peace of mind because that’s what we want for our own families. The Angelcare brand is part of our identity as mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters. As such Angelcare take our commitment to social responsibility seriously. Transparency is the only way we can reassure the public that Angelcare are an ethical global citizen. Under new rules, large organisations operating within the United Kingdom will now need to make a public statement outlining how to keep any part of the business and supply chains free from Slavery and human trafficking. This applies to Angelcare group of companies including UK subsidiary Angelcare UK Corporate. 

Modern slavery is a crime and a gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships 

Angelcare group are currently reviewing and taking steps to build robust policies, procedures and actions in light of the Act to ensure these human rights violations are not taking place in any part of the of the business group and its supply chains. 

The group’s end products are sold in more than 360 countries and territories including the UK through distributors, retail stores and online and our workers are engaged throughout our supply chain including our raw materials, packaging, manufacturing, services, equipment. 

At Angelcare we are in constant contact with our suppliers or any part of the business to ensure consistency and a quality is maintained at a high standard throughout. 

Our approach applies to all persons working for the group or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners. We expect high standards from all and as part of our contracting processes, we will include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards. 

The group continues to build its awareness, policies, and procedures, all persons working for the group are kept aware of the importance of transparency in our business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery. The prevention, detection, and reporting of Modern Slavery in any part of our business or supply chains is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control. 

This past financial year we maintained our awareness within the group generally and specifically continued our Sedex-Smeta ethical audit Program (that includes workers labour standards) at our ‘manufacturing facilities in the Far East. By continuing this program along with our facilities MSA awareness and approach a good Audit standard was achieved with a major North American customer/retailer. 

Our statement outlining our actions and progress will be reviewed and published annually as part of our commitment towards the eradication of Slavery and Human Trafficking.
