Angelcare’s sophisticated software works seamlessly to provide the ideal solution when monitoring twins in separate cots, or baby and toddler in separate rooms. The ACAM2 has our Wireless Movement Sensor Pad that monitors baby's tiniest movements. Parents can rest assured knowing they will only be alerted if no movement is detected after 20 seconds without missing an alert. Angelcare’s Nursery Unit features a colour-changing room temperature (red for too warm and blue for too cool). This allows parents to easily see if baby’s nursery conditions need improving. The Nursery Unit’s camera adjusts easily for optimal viewing on its handy magnetic mount. What’s even better, the low-profile camera can be either wall mounted or used on a table top with stand included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Extra Camera and Sensor Very happy with the product. Works great with my main camera. Only thing I didn’t know was that the sound can only be on one camera, this only works if both cameras are in the same room otherwise I can’t hear the one kid.

Hello, I'm considering to by Angelcare monitor for my baby, we also want to buy newton crib mattress. Does your monitor work with this type of mattress? Thank you.

Asked by: Veronika
Thank you for contacting Angelcare Monitors The mattress you wanted to purchase is a dual sided mattress. Angelcare Breathing Monitors are designed to monitor the movements of your baby over the surface of your baby’s mattress, from corner to corner. They can be used in a standard cot/cot bed. The Sensor Pad is placed under the mattress in the middle, wherever baby lies. It detects your baby’s movements and therefore you must take into consideration the thickness of the mattress and also the amount of layers your baby is wearing when put to bed. Too many layers and/or a thick mattress could affect the Sensor Pad’s ability to monitor your baby effectively. However there is no actual minimum/maximum thickness. This is because the sensitivity of the Sensor Pad can be adjusted to suit most different sleeping arrangements/mattresses. With regards to the actual mattresses, we know that the Sensor Pad will work effectively with a standard hypoallergenic, spring, coil (and spring/coil combined) mattress as these allow your baby’s movements to be transferred down on to the pad. We also know that the Sensor Pad will NOT work with a Hollow Framed, Dual Sided, Memory Foam Mattress; A Hollow Framed Mattress is mainly a US product, it is basically a number of poles that are fitted together with a tight cover fitted over this. As a result of their being nothing actually inside the mattress (hollow) no movement is transferred down to the Sensor Pad. As a result the monitor may false alarm indicating that baby`s movements are not being detected by the Sensor Pad. A full Memory Foam or Dual sided Memory Foam Mattress masks the movement of your baby on the surface of the mattress due to the density of the foam and baby`s movements do not transfer down to the Sensor Pad. As a result the monitor may false alarm indicating that baby`s movement is not being detected by the Sensor Pad. We hope that you can understand that unfortunately it is not possible to test the Sensor Pad with every type or brand of mattress available on the market due firstly to the sheer volume of mattresses available. Secondly because we do know that many manufacturers, brands will change the internal composition on a regular basis with no notification to improve the product and also at times for cost reasons. As a result it would be impossible to monitor constant internal changes/modifications and therefore we cannot recommend any particular brand for use with the Sensor Pad. Therefore we would suggest when purchasing any mattress for your baby that you take the above points into consideration and if you are unsure of the internal composition of any mattress to contact the retailer/manufacturer for clarification. We do hope that this information helps, if you need any further advice please do let us know. Best regards

Hello, We want to use this extra pack for our second bed in the living room. However, we are wondering if that means that if the baby is sleeping in his/her room and the one in the living room is free, that last one will go off? Thanks!

Asked by: Liz Van Dooren
Thank you for your interest in Angelcare Monitors. We do not recommend using the monitors in a Pack & Play, co- sleeper or in a bassinet. The sensor pad must be installed in a sturdy bed with a firm bottom that will not move in order for it to function properly. You would need to deactivate the other sensorpad if you are using a second one in a different room cause it will always be going off once you turn on your monitor. Best regards
