Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Monitor for Our Little! I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. The initial setup was a little hard. The directions were not very clear and the sensor pad alarm kept going off. Once I learned how to setup and pause the sensor pad it was great! The camera and audio on the monitor were very clear! We loved the 2 way communication and temperature display on the camera and monitor! I do wish there was a way to dim the temperature light on the camera, because it is a little bright in the middle of the night. Overall it is a great monitor. Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Monitor works well, not sure about the other parts Good picture and sound quality on the screen and the parent unit is a nice big size. I have had issues with the temperature reading on the nursery unit though. Angelcare customer service has been helpful but you need proof of purchase before they'll help so I'm not sure what anyone would do if they received it as a gift. We ended up not using the breathing monitor. I've read mixed reviews about it (false alarms etc.) and it's only good until the baby starts to move around in the crib as they have to be right on top of it. I ended up just keeping my baby's crib right beside my bed with me frequently checking on her myself so a regular video monitor would have been sufficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What We Needed! This monitor has it all! The video and audio are clear and crisp and I love that I can zoom in and pan the room, too! It's so convenient that the camera can sit on a table or be mounted to the wall and that all the hardware to mount it is included. The set up was fast and easy and I had it running within 15 minutes. The best part is that I can connect other cameras so I can have one in all the rooms I need to keep an eye on my family. Talk about peace of mind! Now, Mom truly does have eyes in the back of her head! Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this gift to try out and review!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely unacceptable baby product I’m begging you not to get this product. As a mommy I know what you’ll go through if you purchase this. The camera lags, the breathing device doesn’t work or baby is not on correct, the camera says it’s out of reach and the sound quality sucks! You’ll spend nights like me trying to watch your baby and see if he or she is awake, breathing and maybe needs to you. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!! I legit want this company to do something about the horrible service this product has give . And guess what this is my second one because I had the return the original due to the screen never turning on after a week!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind I received this monitor from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I've never used a video monitor before and had high expectations of what to expect. This one did not dissapoint! The picture quality is amazing -- even the night vision! I love the added tempature reading feature since it can get quite warm for a swaddled baby where I live. Set up was a breeze, and the touch screen makes navigating the system much easier. I love the piece of mind that comes with putting my infant to nap in another room with the movement monitor, and the ability to turn it off when your child isn't in the crib. Great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy! It has to always be plugged in which is ridiculously because there are only so positions you can put the camera in with the pointless stand which is Magnetic which is stupid because it falls off when you try difference ways to use it! The screen where we can see our baby constantly dies and if we don’t charge it each day the beeping wakes us up! And the thing that goes under it haha it’s goes off so much when there isn’t no reason too it scared me so many times and nothing was wrong! It’s a piece! I bought it because of all this talk to SIDS when he was little and it’s went off no matter if he was fine or not! Stay away by something that can rotate and is 360 around the room. Not worth money at all

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great baby video monitor/movement monitor I received this product as a part of the wee spring parent panel and I have loved using it! The screen is a great size and the video resulotion is wonderful! I love the face that it shows the time and the temp of the room on the parent unit! The movement mat works really great too to provide peace of mind! Cons: the unit is a bit difficult to set up and the screen needs some pretty significant "push" pressure to use the touch screen features. I also don't like that the video portion turns off after several minutes. Even with the cons I mentioned, I would defiantly reccomend this product for sure! I love the peace of mind it brings! Thank you weespring for the opportunity to review this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this from now closed down babies r us. It was the first purchase we made when we got pregnant, as it was a great deal, so it sat in a box for 9 months. Finally comes time to use it, the monitor screen quality is mediocre at best, definitely not HD'esque like they portray in the advertising. Worst part is there is some black spot on the camera that's almost in the middle of the screen. I can still see my son, but super annoying and I can't clean it off. Something is wrong inside the camera. Overall, kind of bummed the quality just doesnt seem to be top notch as expected.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Highly disappointed First and foremost, I can't wrap my head around the stupidity of those that designed the wall mount. My husband had to go to Home Depot and purchase multiple items to try and make it so that the camera could be positioned in a way that would show the crib. There's about a degree or two angle that you can move the camera on the wall mount. The camera is so zoomed in, that it's impossible to see the baby when the camera is at the required 3 feet distance. Second, the touch screen is not very good. I know it's not designed by Apple, but it's quite annoying to navigate around. Unfortunately, I have not yet used the sensor pad (baby's still cooking), but I hope it's better than some other reviews I have read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This mama can rest at ease! Even though my son is baby number 2, I still worry about him. Is he still breathing? Did he roll over? Etc, etc. this monitor has eased my worries because it is constantly monitoring my boy. When I opened the box, I noticed there were a lot of little parts to fit together, and was a bit wary, but once it is set up, the hard part is done. I love that the camera and monitor come paired, and there is no "searching for device" or wifi connecting. Once it is set up, you're done! The monitor has a clean color picture and the screen will turn off after a while to save battery life. This is well worth the investment. I was given this monitor by the weeSprig Parent Pane in exchange for my honest feedback.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this baby monitor! After two high risk pregnancies, a monitor with extra features is wonderful for added peace of mind now that my little girl is out in the world! I am excited about the options available to make it more conducive to monitoring my child as she grows. We stopped using my son's monitor early and I wish we had had something more like this! I also like the room temperature feature since that my husband and I have read that appropriate room temperature is also a factor in avoiding SIDS. I am very grateful to the WeeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camera!! I received this monitor as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. We loved it, but it did have some flaws. With the camera being stationary, it was a bummer due to not being able to move unless plug was near. Also the 2 way talk option could be better with a volume control on camera. The monitor battery doesn't last more than an hour, even though I charged it before using it according to the directions. Other than that camera was great. Being able to see him without disturbing him was a relief. I would definitely recommend to others about this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Constant alarm I bought 2 of these monitors because we had twins in October. We have just started to transition our twins into their cribs & therefore have just started to use the monitors. One of them works perfectly while the other one constantly alarms because of the camera connection signal strength, so I haven’t even used this monitor because it beeps continuously. They are in the same room so I don’t know why one works while the other does not. I’m starting to think that the one is defective. Very disappointed for the amount of money we spent on these monitors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice monitor! I received this monitor as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. Overall, this is a great monitor. It was easy to set up and came with everything I needed. I did have difficulty figuring out how to pause and unpause the movement sensor, but once I figured it out, it is wonderful to use. I like the touchscreen capability and the picture quality. I think it would be nice to be able to see my baby better on the screen even when the movement sensor is paused instead of the big triangle, but I do realize that the triangle helps avoid confusion as to thinking it was on when it wasn't. I really like the temperature display too. I would consider this a top of the line monitor that offers comfort to parents while their baby is sleeping. Great monitor!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glass Cannon This product has lots of great features. We especially love the pressure pad and temperature gauge, which helped us to relax a lot in those first few months. Not happy with the product's durability, however. It fell out of my pocket onto the kitchen floor one time and cracked the screen. Now we can't use half the features. Worse, there's no way to fix it except to buy a new one at 90 bucks, which is over half what we paid for the whole system. Would not recommend this for active parents, the accident prone, or people with grabby toddlers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best one I've used So far this monitor has been great for us! The picture quality is better than other monitors I’ve seen. The movement sensor has been working great as well. I have friends who have tried other movement pads with a bunch of false alarms. We have not had that problem. I also love the temperature sensor, since our nursery has southern windows and tends to be a different temperature from the rest of the house. I will be recommending this product to friends. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eases the mind of new parents! I received this monitor as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel, I'm in so happy I did! The sensor and the screen paired almost immediately when I turned them on. I also like that the camera can be mounted on the wall without any extra equipment. I was worried that my daughter would stop breathing while sleeping, SIDS is scary. I well the Angelcare monitor had eased my worries. I like the color room temp alert. Also, the ability to adjust the senses of the sensor means that this monitor can grow with my baby girl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Love the video aspect of the monitor. My baby is a loud sleeper so nice being able to see if I do need to go in or not. Or if he’s just fussing but will put himself back to sleep or not. However the breathing monitor is not necessary. Thought I needed it because of societal pressures. Unless your baby has medical problems it’s really not needed. The main reason I don’t like this monitor is the parent unit. It has never charged properly. Has to be in a certain position, doesn’t fully charge over night, doesn’t hold a charge well at all and has started making buzzing sounds so I end up turning it off at night. If I were buying again I’d get a basic monitor that syncs to my phone. It would be so much more convenient only carrying one thing around especially outside. Don’t have to worry about dropping it! All you need is a basic video monitor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inaccurate temperatures followed by hazy picture I can’t speak to the movement pad because we didn’t end up using it. The temperature reading is way off: 3 to 5 degrees different than the actual room temperature. I bought a separate room thermometer to be sure. AngelCare made me jump through hoops for customer service and the new unit they sent me has the same temperature reading issues with the new issue of such terrible picture quality that it’s impossible to even make out whether the baby is facing up or down. It looks completely hazy. I’m fed up with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I was super excited because I hadheard nothing but good things about previous models of this monitor. When I opened the package I was even more excited. I started using the monitor right away and I just love the screen because it is so big and has a very clear picture. I like that I can talk to my baby in order to help him go back to sleep. I can rest assured that my baby is safe as well because of the weight monitor that will alert me within 20 seconds if baby stops moving or breathing! and It definitely works because I've aready forgotten to turn off the alarm when I go to feed my baby lol! Nothing but good things to say about this monitor and will and have been recommending it to all of my family and friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitor! I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. It was a little tricky to set up at first and didn't come with very clear instructions. My husband dod a bit of googling and we did some trial and error. But once we got it going it is a real delight to use. The talk back feature is fantastic and so far it seems like the movement sensor works well. We were skeptical at first of the movement sensor. It felt like an extraneous bell and whistle but it really does seem to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't waste your money Bought a wired model. The cord the plugs into the sensor pad for the camera is not long enough to put on a desk or dresser, etc. So we bought the ac517 wireless.Unit did not come with the camera or sensor pad wired to the parent unit. The directions to pair the units are pretty bad also. Called customer service and they were giving me directions how to pair the two. Problem is they were reading the same directions I had word for word from the directions i have. Would not recommend this to ANYBODY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I received this monitor as a gift from the weeSpring Parental Panel and I love it! Easy to setup and easy to use. With a big screen and clear picture day and night. My favorite part is the room temperature display (I didn't realize how hot it got where my daughter was sleeping) The only negative thing I could find with this monitor was the touchscreen on the parental held device. Sometimes I have to tap a couple of extra times for it to work. I definitely recommend this monitor!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pixelated I bought this about 5 months ago and for the most part it is a great monitor. I love the sensor feature, it gives me peace of mind. I also like that it tells the temperature in the room. But the picture is very pixelated and unclear and the connection/range doesn’t go as far as advertised. When we are in our bedroom the connection goes in and out and it’s very frustrating. I am glad I got it on sale because with the picture and connection issues I would never spend over $200.00 for this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from High hopes I had high hopes for this monitor! I bought it because of the sensor pad, but we have not been able to really use it. Our little one slept in her bassinet until about 5.5 months. When she moved to the crib, we used the sensor pad for about 2 months, then it stopped working. It would beep once randomly throughout the night and then sometimes the alarm would go off. We replaced the batteries, repaired the sensor pad to the unit, turned down the sensitivity. Nothing works, it still beeps randomly and loudly throughout the night so we had to just turn the sensor pad off. I am really bummed because we bought a second camera for a second baby and now we can't even use it for the main reason we bought it! Other than that the monitor is great, but sad that the reason we bought it, can't even be used anymore!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to get a good angle on the crib! Have been wracking ours brains trying to rig this thing up to the wall by the crib and get a good angle. It’s impossible. The only way to get a picture of the whole crib is to put it clear across the room and that’s just too far. Why isn’t there an optional arm of some kind to mount this on the wall at the end if the crib so it can be angled down more. It was between this monitor and another. We chose this one for the features but now feel like we chose wrong. I would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend! As a mom, it's always so hard to transition your newborn into their own crib and out of your site. This monitor provides a huge amount of comfort because you not only have the camera but the movement sensor is an additional layer of "monitoring." I have a family member who's baby stopped breathing while he was sleeping and required a hospital stay, so I was terrified to transition to the crib. This monitor calmed my fears and I wouldn't use anything else. This is worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experienced mom first time video monitor user I am the mother of 4 and never used a video monitor until my 4th child and I love it. The monitor is clear and easy to see and the fact that it is touch screen makes my life so much easier. The sensor pad is an excellent touch but can get annoying if you forget to pause it. It will send off an alarm that will wake the whole neighborhood of so it seems at 4am. It was a bit difficult to find a place to mount the camera as we do not have a shelf over or any where near our crib. We actually ended up getting some command strips to mount the wall mount onto the wall near the crib. I think it would make it easier if the camera were wireless and simply ran on a battery. I'm really enjoying this product and piece of mind I have now that baby #4 has moved out of our room and into his own on the other side of the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Monitor for Tracking Movement I received the Angelcare AC517 Movement and Baby Video Monitor as part of the weespring Parent Panel. Let me start by saying that overall, this is a good monitor and would be a fine purchase for anyone looking to buy one of the more expensive monitors on the market that offers all the bells and whistles. For context, I am a second time mother. My oldest son is 5 and with him, we only ever had a cheap sound only monitor in a small apartment. Now, we live in a large house and my second is 3.5 mths old. Before receiving the Angelcare, I was using another video monitor that did not come with a movement sensor. Pros of the Angelcare AC517: • It is very easy to set-up. There are few pieces and all of them already come “paired”, so you basically have to place a few batteries and plug a few things in, and voila! This all went very smoothly and took only about 15 minutes. • I like the quality of the camera and the sleek look of the parent unit. The picture is much clearer and nicer than my other (cheaper) video monitor. • I like the option of the table top stand vs. mounting on the wall. Because my little guy can’t move around yet, I simply placed this on the side of the crib and will worry about wall mounting later. • I like the easily visible temperature display on the camera. The feature that allows you to set a temperature range alarm for the baby’s room is pretty nifty. However, I could live without this since I’m in my baby’s room enough to know if it’s too hot or too cold. • The range is great. This is probably the most important feature in any monitor to me after having a bad experience with my first (sound only) monitor. I was able to go anywhere in my 5,000 sq ft home and have it work perfectly. • The wireless movement sensor pad seems to work fine. I know many mothers who would love this feature, but I am less interested than most and found it annoying for some of the reasons I list below. This is probably something I would have liked more when the baby was a newborn and I was more paranoid about monitoring his breathing, but at this point, it’s not a feature that I really care enough about to spend the money on (and seems to drive up the cost of this particular monitor). Cons of the Angelcare AC517: • The parent unit is a touch screen. It works, but was not as sensitive to my touch as I would have liked. • Although this product was easy to set up, I found the instructions lacking in terms of navigating the features on the parent unit. This is pretty minor because overall, it’s easy enough to figure out. • The movement sensor pad: o When using the movement sensor pad, you have to remember to “pause” either the camera or the parent unit when you take the baby out of the crib. Otherwise, an alarm will go off after 20 seconds. Now, you may be a super alert parent in the middle of the night, but I am not, and this would drive me crazy when feeding the baby in the middle of the night. It’s not exactly easy to get up in the middle of breastfeeding to turn off an alarm because you forgot to hit “pause”. This by itself is enough to make me not want to use the movement sensor. o The crib mattress has to be flat to use this sensor pad (according to directions). I had the crib mattress propped up to help with acid reflux and had to adjust back down in order to use the sensor. o If you have the movement sensor on “pause” you are unable to access any of the other features on the touch screen without “unpausing” the sensor. o If you are NOT going to use the movement sensor, you need to deactivate it on the Settings menu. Otherwise, you’re forced to deal with the “pause” button which is annoying for the reason I mention above. I had to look online to figure this out because it was not included in the directions with the monitor. • The magnetic attachment between the camera and the stand/wall mount works well, but allows for minimal adjustment in angle of the camera. This was not as good as my other video monitor. Overall, as I mentioned earlier, this is a fine product for what it advertises. I will likely continue to use the monitor without the movement sensor pad. If you are not going to use the movement sensor pad, I would recommend a cheaper video monitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great to start...not so great now! I loved this monitor and all it had to offer when my newest addition came last year, it gave me the piece of mind knowing she was safely asleep across the house. However, recently the monitor has been giving me issues, the parent unit constantly loses connection with the nursery unit and it is becoming a nuisance. It alerts me at least 15-20 times a night about the lost connection and has not always done this, it is also less than a year old! So frustrated with it!

Yes, you can use your AC517 Nursery Unit and Parent Unit without the Movement Sensor Pad. This article in our help center explains how to deactivate the Sensor Pad : https://angelcare.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360004074912-AC517-How-to-Activate-deactivate-the-Sensor-Pad

I have the AC517 and a second baby on the way. I know I can use 1 parent unit for two cameras but does it work with 2 sensor pads or just one?

Asked by: Ronn
Thank you for contacting Angelcare. You can have up to 4 cameras on the AC517 but only one sensorpad. We do have 3 new models that can take up to 2 cameras but also 2 sensorpads on one parent unit. AC327,AC337,AC527, but these are not compatible with your AC517, and cannot be both run in the same house at the same time. Regards,

What is the warranty period on the AC517? I can’t find this info on your website or in the product details sections.

Thank you for contacting Angelcare. Hello, Warranty is good for 12 months from the date of purchase, we apologize for the inconvenience, however our policy for a warranty guarantee is that we require a Proof of Purchase to open a warranty claim. Proof of purchase can be something from your registry saying it was purchased, or you will have to request from the person who gave it to you for the receipt. If this was on your registry the company should be able to provide you with something showing the date it was purchased. Sincerely,

What is the difference between the AC327 and AC17?

Asked by: Shane
Thank you for contacting Angelcare. The AC327 is a brand new monitor. - it is non touch screen - you can have up to 2 cameras on one parent unit - you can have up to 2 sensorpads on one parent unit - has a small but more sensative sensorpad - there is no temperature on the nursery unit, and it does not have the option to put it. The AC517 is a an older model. - it is touch screen - you can have up to 4 cameras on one parent unit - you can only have 1 sensorpads on one parent unit - has a bigger sensorpad - there is an option to remove or add temperature on the nursery unit, but only on monitors that were produced in/after 2018. Hope this helps. Regards,

We have had our angel care for almost 2 years. About a year ago, the screen started flashing constantly, regardless of whether the room is bright or dark. It seems that the night vision is totally messed up. Is there any way we can fix this?

Asked by: Lisa
Thank you for contacting Angelcare. It seems like you have a deffective camera, unfortunately we do not repair any monitors. You would need to replace the camera. Regards,
