Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect monitor for my family! I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. And I am so glad I did! This monitor is the best I have ever tried and I have tried a lot. The set up is so easy. I love how the parent device and camera already come paired, which makes life so much easier. The screen is so clear and the audio is so crisp. And I love how I can move the camera in any direction just in case my baby moves. I also love the feature where I can talk back to calm my baby down. I love this monitor so much! I would recommend this monitor to any mom looking for peace of mind. Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Let down Received this as a gift . To be honest the battery life on the monitor doesn’t last long . My son goes down at 9:30pm and by 5 in the morning it’s beeping because it’s out of battery when the monitor has been charging all day . It would be handy if the monitor had its own separate charger rather than the charger that needs to be connected to the camera at all times , if the camera was wireless that would be so much better and not needing to be plugged into the wall 24/7 . Especially if the monitor in my room is beeping to be charged at 5 in the morning when my son is still sleeping. Had high expectations for this monitor and it’s just not practical .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitor I had the opportunity recently to try this monitor out. Overall I do really like this monitor! The picture is great, audio is clear and night vision is good. I like the touch screen on the parent console and love that it shows the temperature of room! You can easily hang from wall or use stand. Which ever is better for set up of room. The one thing I found slightly troublesome was set up of sensor pad. We couldn't figure out initially how to pause it for more than 20 seconds and the directions that came with it were not very clear. With some digging we did figure it out. Overall I am happy with this monitor. Thank weespring parent panel for letting me try this product out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this monitor! This monitor is fantastic! Some pros of this monitor are that the setup is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The temperature setting was great and I loved that I could see that feature from the monitor. The camera was user friendly, the picture was crisp, and you can set everything from the wireless monitor. We also got to see how much movement our baby boy had which is a fantastic feature. One con of this monitor was that you have to pause the Sensor pad or it will go off, sometimes in the middle of the night we forgot. We did learn soon after that! We would definitely recommend this product! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my sanity! I recently received the Angelcare AC517 movement and video baby monitor, as a part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. I was a bit apprehensive on trying it out, I was an avid "co-sleeper" parent with my son when he was younger, and we had started to co-sleep with our newest addition. When we received the monitor, it was easy to set-up, and I loved all the features (ie, touch screen, movement pad sensitivity, 2-way talk). My daughter slept perfectly in her crib and has since! I sleep with comfort with comfort, knowing that this monitor will alert me if anything went wrong. Thank you Parent Panel and thank you ANGELCARE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good monitor This monitor was a little difficult to set up, but once it got setup it was simple to use. I love the feature of the temperature display on the camera as well as the monitor. I also love that you could set the sensitivity sound and movement when using the pad. The size of the screen was also a plus and it was very clear and not grainy like my other monitor. The only thing I didn't like was the sensor pad gave a couple false alarms and would also alarm in the babies room waking them up. Other than that I feel like this is a great monitor. Thank you weespring parent panel for sending me this to try and review!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality monitor! My husband and I are welcoming our second child and have a 3 year old. Needless to say we have our heads on a swivel and needs eyes everywhere! Thankfully, this monitor has great picture and sound! We love the size of the screen as well! We haven't used the motion sensor pad yet but trying to set it up was a little difficult. I have been fiddling with pausing it because the alarm is quite, for the lack of a better word, alarming! Across the board this is a great monitor and aesthetically pleasing. Looking to add more cameras for the play room! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous Design, Audio, and Video I received this monitor as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel just as my husband and I were looking for a monitor for our baby. I was impressed with the sleek design and the clever magnetic stand/hanging options. The video screen was very clear and the audio was crisp. We found the sensor pad to be a bit difficult to work with and weren't sure it was something we would be comfortable using as a result. But the monitor itself is outstanding and love that it allows us to watch and listen to the baby from anywhere in our home as well as monitor the temperature. The only issue we found frustrating was the lack of directions that required us to go online seeking more information.

The monitor for my AC517 wont hold a charge any more, we have had this unit for 15 months and until now it has been great, can you please tell me if it's the battery that could need replacing or the charging connector on the monitor? Thanks

Asked by: Nedsdad
Thank you for contacting Angelcare, we are sorry to learn you are experiencing difficulties. Hello , If you take the adapter from the Nursery Unit and plug to the Parent Unit for over 2 hours, will it hold a charge? If it does its your adaptor that needs to be replaced, if it does not its your battery. If you take the battery completely out of the Parent unit, will it still turn on with both adaptors? This will confirm if one of the adaptors is faulty. You can purchase replacement parts for North American models of Angelcare Monitors from the Angelcare Website. US Online Store Canadian Online Store Please Note: When you receive your replacement unit you will need to connect this to your existing monitor. Let us know if you need further advises on how to connect your new remplacement part. If you have any further queries do let us know.

On the AC417 model, the parent unit suddenly says BAT142 and I cannot get the screen to change no matter what. This happened in the middle of the night after working fine when putting my son to bed. Help!

Asked by: Paris46
Thanks you for contacting Angelcare Monitors. The ‘’BAT XX’’ is a code for testing the battery. Test mode can be entered if ON/OFF button and Volume UP of the Parent Unit was press and hold while the PU is plugged in. Then battery value BAT 15X would appear and it indicates PU enters test mode. To exit test mode: Unplug the Parent Unit Turn Off the Parent Unit Hold the Power ON/OFF button to turn ON again the Parent Unit It you resume to normal operation status. If this does not solve your problem, please send us a video showing how you tried to troubleshoot your monitor. We will be able to give further assistance. Thanks a lot

Asked by: Gianna
Thanks for contacting Angelcare Monitors, Your Sensor Pad Battery is probably dead. That's probably why you are experience false alarms. The life expectancy of the Wireless Sensor Pad Battery is approx. 4 months. When needed to be replace, this battery is available in stores (not part of warranty). Battery type: CR3032 3V. You would then need to replace it. I hope it explains everything

I am having triplets and will be having them in the same room in separate cribs. What is the best setup to be able to have breathing monitor pads on them and see them all from a monitor?

Asked by: danahitz
Thanks for contacting Angelcare Monitor. The best configuration would be to buy a Breathing and Video Monitor (AC517 or AC315 for example) and then add 2 X Breathing Monitor (AC017). The main Video Monitor will cover 1 crib, then the 2 other AC017 will cover the 2 other cribs. If a baby stops moving, you'll be able to ear the alarm from the Nursery Unit and the Parent Unit of the Video Monitor. Wish you all the best with your triplets

Thanks for your interest in Angelcare Monitor. For all of our Baby Breathing Monitor, you'll need to add an AC017. Our technology does not allows us to pair an extra Sensor Pad to a Breathing Monitor. If you have twins and would like to add an extra Sensor Pad to you configuration, the AC017 is this option. Hi! My baby sleeps on a Dockatot on top of his mattress. Will the sensor pad work underneath the Dockatot and mattres? If so, is there a sensitivity level I need to adjust?

Asked by: mdokaj
Thanks for contacting Angelcare. We look into the website of the Dockatot Manufacturer and the Sensor Pad should work with this mattress. Make sure to remove the cart board of the packaging. The Dockatot mattress needs to be install on a mattress and the Sensor Pad needs to be located under the mattress on a flat surface. If you have a metal base you'll need to add a wooden board to support the Sensor Pad. I hope it explains everything.

At night the screen on the parent monitor flashes on and off. During the day everything works fine. Is there a special setting for night vision? Also red lights are flashing on the camera.

Asked by: Erin
Thanks for contacting the helpline. When in Auto mode (and at night), there is a brief white flash on the screen and then the night vision starts on the Parent Unit. Approx. every 20 seconds, there is a white flash again on the screen, because the Infrared lights must verify if the night vision mode is still needed. This is because on AUTO mode the Infrared lights will be activated only if there is low visibility. Basically the red lights are the LEDS. Either the Camera sensor is picking up light (even just a speck of dust on the sensor that can reflect light) from somewhere in the room i.e. a door is open & allowing light into the room, security camera outside the window going ON/OFF. Could you clean up the lens and see if you are still having this issue. If it doesn't help, please send us an email with: • The Batch Number. This is located on the underneath of the Parent Unit, Nursery Unit and the Sensor Pad on a small white label • Proof of purchase, receipt. We will accept a picture/photo of the receipt if this is easier for you • Your full name, address and a contact number Angelcare Customer Service / Service à la clientèle Angelcare Toll-Free / Sans frais : 1 877 281-8827 Monday – Friday / Lundi au vendredi : 8am - 7pm (EST) angelcare@cdecinc.ca This will enable us to process your query.

What does VOX mean? And why is it not in manual at all? Turn off or keep on? Does it make an alarm go off?

Asked by: Jford
Thanks for your interest in Angelcare Monitors, The VOX setting allows you to select your option on how you monitor sound: ‘Continuous Sound’ (VOX OFF) Sound monitoring is continuously on, picking up all sounds. ‘Sound Activated’ (VOX ON) Voice activation picks up sound based on the setting of the sensitivity level. The sound transmission will stop if no sound is detected. This setting allows to save power, after 10 seconds. Hope it helps!

Will the movement monitor work with the Newton baby mattress?

Asked by: Guthrie
Thank you for your interest in Angelcare Baby Monitors. Angelcare Movement Monitors are designed to monitor the movements of your baby over the surface of your baby’s mattress, from corner to corner. They can be used in a standard cot/cot bed. The Sensor Pad is placed under the mattress in the middle, wherever baby lies. It detects your baby’s movements and therefore you must take into consideration the thickness of the mattress and also the amount of layers your baby is wearing when put to bed. Too many layers and/or a thick mattress could affect the Sensor Pad’s ability to monitor your baby effectively. However there is no actual minimum/maximum thickness. This is because the sensitivity of the Sensor Pad can be adjusted to suit most different sleeping arrangements/mattresses. With regards to the actual mattresses, we know that the Sensor Pad will work effectively with a standard hypoallergenic, spring, coir (and spring/coir combined) mattress as these allow your baby’s movements to be transferred down on to the pad. We also know that the Sensor Pad will NOT work with a Hollow Framed, Dual Sided, Memory Foam Mattress; A Hollow Framed Mattress is mainly a US product, it is basically a number of poles that are fitted together with a tight cover fitted over this. As a result of their being nothing actually inside the mattress (hollow) no movement is transferred down to the Sensor Pad. As a result the monitor may false alarm indicating that baby`s movements are not being detected by the Sensor Pad. A full Memory Foam or Dual sided Memory Foam Mattress masks the movement of your baby on the surface of the mattress due to the density of the foam and baby`s movements do not transfer down to the Sensor Pad. As a result the monitor may false alarm indicating that baby`s movement is not being detected by the Sensor Pad. We hope that you can understand that unfortunately it is not possible to test the Sensor Pad with every type or brand of mattress available within North America due firstly to the sheer volume of mattresses available. Secondly because we do know that many manufacturers, brands will change the internal composition on a regular basis with no notification to improve the product and also at times for cost reasons. As a result it would be impossible to monitor constant internal changes/modifications and therefore we cannot recommend any particular brand for use with the Sensor Pad. Therefore we would suggest when purchasing any mattress for your baby that you take the above points into consideration and if you are unsure of the internal composition of any mattress to contact the retailer/manufacturer for clarification. We do hope that this information helps, if you need any further advice please do let us know.
