This is perfect for parents who already own an Angelcare Breathing Monitor. The AC017 will complement your original monitor by adding Breathing Movement monitoring on the second mattress to your current setup. It’s particularly useful if you need to monitor twins and 2 little ones in the same room.

Do you already own another brand of baby monitor but want to add in Movement monitoring for extra peace of mind now baby is here? The AC017 is perfect because it tracks the tiniest of movements and it will work with any other brand of baby monitor.

The AC017 features Angelcare’s new completely wireless Sensor Pad. Parents concerned with cords or cables can rest easy knowing our new Baby Breathing Movement Sensor Pad is totally self-contained and communicates wirelessly to the Nursery Unit. This makes it a great travel monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent wireless movement monitor I love this monitor by Angelcare! Although it took some initial trial and error to get the right sensitivity setting for my crib, it provided excellent monitoring of my baby's movement. I love that this monitor does not require a monitor to be directly connected to my baby. Having a movement sensor baby monitor is extremely important to me to monitor my baby's overall health and well-being. Although, I don’t think this monitor would be easy travel with, it was very easy to add to my nursery. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Movement Monitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For Peace of Mind We have been very anxious parents since our daughter's birth, always worrying about her, especially at night when she is sleeping, that's why we were especially happy to be given this Movement Monitor to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. It is easy to set up and install. The movement pad goes under the mattress pad. It is very important that you set it up on a thin board or plywood so that it is very stable. It is very nice that there are no cords to worry about getting tangled up with baby. It's very easy to use. It senses the baby's breathing and if your baby doesn't breathe for more than 20 seconds, you will be alerted to it. So much easier too rest easy knowing you will be alerted if something goes wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome peace of mind I received the Angelcare movement monitor and nursery unit from weeSprings Parent Panel. I use this unit in combination with the AC117 for my twins. This monitor comes with a sensor pad and nursery unit. It allows me to monitor the movement (or lack there of) in my childs bed. It was very easy to set up. The wireless sensor pad is awesome. The pause button is helpful to make sure a loud noise doesn't wake baby if i pick them up. Battery in sensor pad is going on 2 months without any issues. The battery is a round type cell battery that is not rechargeable. I was worried at first that i would have to replace it often. Overall the monitor is great and helps me to be able to relax knowing my baby is breathing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have finally started sleeping I am so glad I bought this as I have finally started to be able to sleep 6 weeks later. It is so easy to set up. I have not had any false alarms so far and every time I take the baby out and forget to turn it off it goes off. The constant beeping on pause is pretty annoying so my suggestion is to just power off the alarm for feedings and power back on when done. Probably saves battery also. This product also has no cords to deal with which is great. If yo start getting false alarms with baby in adjust the sensitivity. This is definitely worth the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good movement monitor, but lacks other features I was given then product by the weeSpring Parent Panel and realize after trying it, that I am not a fan of movement monitors. This particular model is very easy set-up, easy to use and adjust the settings, but after one too many times setting the alarm off during a middle of the night feeding when my baby wasn't in the crib, we stopped using it because it became a nuisance. If you are interested in a movement monitor only - without any other features - then this one works well, is very user friendly and attractive (fits into our nursery seamlessly).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Angel from above I received this as a gift from Weespring parent panel. It was a life saver. I used to check on my twins constantly throughout the night. But with this monitor I was able to get some sleep as well. The sensitivity adjustment was a breeze and traveling with it was perfect. I liked that I was able to talk to them through the monitor without having to go into the room and disturb them. But I could comfort them with my voice at the same time. I could also see the temperature of the room. It makes a perfect gift for someone you love and their new loved one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Option for Piece of Mind I received this monitor as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. The setup is super easy and I liked that there are no cords to worry about since it is placed under the crib mattress. I already have a WiFi video monitor in the nursery and a movement monitor was something I considered, just never bought. My reasons we that I was worried about the constant beeping and whatnot. I do appreciate that you can adjust the sensitivity with this monitor. I DO wish I had a video, audio and movement monitor all in one...but until then, this is a nice addition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleeping Like a Babyb I was excited to receive this monitor as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. My anxiety runs high in the wee hours of the night, and I can see the appeal of this product. My wiggly baby would likely not tolerate a foot monitor, so this is an excellent alternative. Set-up and sensitivity adjustment was straightforward enough, though I'm not sure if it's meant to beep incessantly after baby is taken out of the crib. Personally, I don't love the idea of having a WiFi product so close to his head, despite the assurances of safety. As we room share and often co-sleep, the Angelcare is a bit superfluous for me. That said, as I transition my son to his own space, the Angelcare can offer some peace of mind, even if I have to deal with a few false alarms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Accurate Movement Monitor Although I am not a first-time parent, I still worry like one! That's why I was so relieved (and grateful!) to receive this monitor to try out from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I am one of those moms that needs to hop out of bed every so often to check that the baby is still breathing, and having such an accurate and sensitive movement monitor definitely cut down on my anxiety.I still feel the need to have an additional audio/visual monitor so I can keep track of what the baby is up to while I am out of the room. I also probably wouldn't travel with it, as I wouldn't want to undo and re-set it up multiple times. My two favorite features of this monitor are 1) it is really sleek and modern-looking and 2) it isn't too sensitive (it is very accurate).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comforting to have This monitor gives me good peace of mind at night. However, it has some annoying beeping features. It needs to be paused when you pull baby from crib of course but beeps loudly and continuously while on pause which is not okay when trying to soothe or feed baby. Instead I've been turning it off and turning it back on when placing baby back in crib. But it also beeps loudly when you turn it back on which often wakes up baby and husband even when I try to smother it in a pillow. Because of that I would consider different options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be aware of rolling baby I was excited about the angelcare monitor, only find that once I out of the box I would need to place some kind of board or a separate angelcare board under the mattress to keep the monitor in place. Additionally my baby may have been too old for the monitor. Anytime he rolled over it would beep and alarm us, interrupting his sleep. It may be better suited to babies who don't roll yet, but it was easier to go without it and use our video monitor.I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Peace of Mind for New Parents The wireless movement sensor pad was easy to setup. I used the board so that I could lay the pad with ease as long as having no wires! Also easy to pack up!Having a movement sensor monitor in my nursery wasn't as important to me as this was my second child, but I was glad I was able to test it thanks to being part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.I was able to set the sensitivity settings to my needs, but it beeps really loud. If your baby isn't awake and it wakes your child up before you get to it, you're not going to be a happy parent. Sleep is precious for a parent and loud beeping isn't helpful, especially if baby is fine.I do think this will bring ease to new parents who are nervous and not confident yet or maybe have had babies that were in the NICU.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Piece of mind Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product. One of my fears as a new mother was waking up to a lifeless child. This product gave me a piece of mind and aided in a deeper more restful sleep for myself. I do however feel like this unit may need a little tweaking from the manufacture. for those with light sleepers there is a loud beeping noise when connecting to the unit. It’s not ideal, however it’s a great concept and recommend and personally gifting one for an upcoming baby shower.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Movement monitor I personally was not a fan of this product. I placed it under my daughters mattress and that was it. Both my kids are very active in their sleep so the monitor was never activated. There is so much that you can worry about as a parent and this is not something that makes sense to me. I know the idea is that this product will provide peace of mind. I was curious about the beep so let it sit unattended, it is very obnoxious (which, hopefully, no one ever has to hear). The motion sensor monitor seems like an unnecessary piece of apparatus for my nursery. While this product doesn’t match my needs it is extremely easy to use and adjust the settings for your personal settings. Overall, this product does not make sense for my family. I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for baby transitioning to their nursery Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Movement Monitor. My baby boy is 6 months old and is transitioning into his crib and this movement monitor helped to ease my mind. It was very simple to set up and has sensitivity settings that adjust to the amount of momenent you’d like to monitor. It is also very easy to travel with and set up in any crib. I’m so thankful for this product- I’m able to sleep sound knowing my baby is okay (and alerting me should there be a problem!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great wire free monitor The Angelcare AC017 Movement Monitor is a great little monitor. I love that there were no wires. I used it in a pack and play and it worked just fine. The only things I didn’t like were when monitor is paused it beeps every little while, which poses an nit of a hassle if having to pick up baby and try to get the baby back to sleep. I also wish it didn’t beep when it gets powered on. Otherwise it is a great monitor.I received this monitor free of charge as a part of the Weespring parent panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Peace of mind for parents! With its sleek design and convenient under the mattress monitor, this devise gave us great peace of mind for our new baby. Our first baby wore a wearable movement monitor and we found false alarms to be somewhat common. Angelcare’s technology has allowed us to monitor our baby closely without having to attach anything to him! When we received this product to test for being a part of weeSpring’s parent panel, I was so excited to test it out. It makes the transition from bedside to crib so much easier for parents. My only complaint is that the stabilizing board is not included in the package, as most cribs require it. It is somewhat large to travel, but because it is lightweight and flat, I do feel like it is totally doable! The design is also sleek and doesnt distract from other nursery decor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has a glitch I have had 2 different models this one showed breathing when my son was out of his crib and showed that it was correctly connected to the sensor pad. I have to turn off the camera and the screen each time for it to work correctly. I love angel care but this item has a serious flaw and it is disappointing. I purchased this and didn't use it until we had our second child and by then the warranty is up so it's my fault on that end, but with it basically being new it's still a disappointment and my mind isn't put at ease like our first angel care monitor. My first one didn't have a camera but we had a Motorola camera in his room along with the angel care and the Motorola camera is amazing. If they fixed the flaw with the sensor and had a Motorola like camera it would be the best baby monitor in the market.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Makes me feel secure! I am a big fan of the movement monitor. Having it under my son's mattress makes me feel very safe and secure that i will be notified if anything goes awry with him. Luckily, it has not occurred yet but that is a good thing. The only downside of this version is I need a separate video monitor that is a completely separate unit. While the alarm has not gone off yet while my son has been sleeping, I have tested it out and the sensitivity is amazing! I truly feel secure that if he were to stop breathing or some other issue would happen that the alarm would sound and I would be notified. It helps me sleep secure knowing I do not have to worry about him. I highly recommend this to give you peace of mind! It is worth every penny!!Thanks to eh weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this to review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok monitoring system I was given this monitor to test as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. This was very easy to set up and use. When I looked at the contents of the box, I was very surprised that this did not come with a parent monitor. When your child stops moving (it's very sensitive and can detect breathing), the nursery monitor makes a very loud noise. It's loud enough to jolt your baby awake and make you come running into your nursery. I think this product would be nicer if it came with a parent monitor. The main reason why I like the monitor that we currently use (also by Angelcare) is that is comes with a parent monitor. I don't think this product makes sense without having a monitor that you can use outside of the nursery. Since this doesn't have a parent monitor, you wouldn't know if your baby was crying or if they were awake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great monitor for peace of mind This is a great monitor for parents who want peace of mind in their newborn’s early days. I received this product from the Weespring parent panel in exchange for my honest review. The monitor worked great - so easy to set up and operate. Not too many parts and easy to use. Also very easy to travel with to my parents house. This product was extremely helpful once we moved our baby into his own room when he was three months old. Would highly recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Falls short Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product. Unfortunately I did not love this product. I love the idea of being able to monitor breathing and movement but would probably invest a bit more and buy the one with a monitor. I’m a very visual person and only being able to hear when something is wrong is not enough for me. I think spend a bit more money to monitor baby’s movement, room temperature, and other statistics.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs improvement I was given this Movement Monitor to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I would not recommend this monitor if you live in a small space or have other children in close range to the baby's crib. The alarm is very loud which was startling to the baby and also woke up our other child. There should be a way to alert the parent without it being so loud. I was excited to try this monitor out but unfortunately it did not work for us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great movement monitor The Angelcare movement monitor is a great monitor to put your mind at ease while your baby sleeps. My one hesitation with the monitor is that I also have to have a separate video monitor set up. I would love to have both products wrapped up in one. The design and looks of the Angelcare monitor are great and if you are looking for a movement monitor, look I further. I did receive this monitor from th weeSpring Parent Panel to review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good thought but not what we expected We received the angelcare monitor thanks to weeSpring parent panel. Unfortunately, we were not big fans of the Angelcare AC017 Movement Monitor. The sensor was very finicky when setting it up. It was definitely more complex to set up then I originally thought it would be. Once it was set, I had difficulty determining if it was at the right sensitivity level. Also, when we would go to pause it it would still beep. Having twins the beep is loud so it would interrupt the sleeping twin. Very frustrating! We definitely like the concept, but honestly never felt like we had the product set correctly. Every time we wanted to use it we felt like we had to reset it. There are so many different beeps that are loud. Definitely a personal preference, but we love the video monitors better. If this was combined with a video monitor I think we may have liked it more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I found the product a little difficult to set up, for the sensitivity anyway. I liked it, but my biggest complaint was the beeping after you pause it. I understand that is to remind you that the monitor is paused, but when you’re trying to feed a sleepy baby it gets annoying. Other then that though, it’s a good product to have peace of mind while your baby is sleeping! *I received this product from the WeeSpring parent panel

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Calms worries and works great! I bought this mat a few weeks ago when I realized my newborn will only sleep on his tummy. I needed to be sure he could breath and I could not keep checking on him every few minutes in the night. This mat helped me sleep better and baby is happy to sleep on it. It is easy to set up and use.My only complaint is one design flaw. When you pick baby up, there is a pause button to prevent the alarm from sounding when no movement is detected. It sounds like a great feature but it beeps (very loudly) every 20sec to remind you it is paused. This wakes the baby and is very annoying. Because of this, I do not use the pause button. Instead, I just turn it off when I pick him up and power it back on when he is back in bed. It would be great if you could adjust the volume of the beeps.Even with the annoying beeps, it is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult set-up This movement monitor seems like a great idea, but given the construction of most cribs, requires a lot of set-up. The monitor needs to be set up on a solid base under the mattress, most cribs do not have this, so we had to fashion something ourselves to be able to use it. I was offered a separate base to use under it after I had already decided it just wasn't for us. I think this base should be included with the monitor and for the few who don't need it, it's just an extra part rather than having a separate product for sale. Onto the actual use of the monitor, I personally still woke up to check on my baby via video monitor, so the addition of the movement monitor didn't lessen my night awake time. If you think you would be able to trust it completely, it might be perfect for you. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Movement Monitor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Idea, Needs More Work I received the Angelcare AC017 Movement Monitor from Wee Spring Parent Panel for free to try it out. I really like the idea of it but it need a lot of work to make this baby-friendly. First off, it goes under the baby's mattress, which is just springs... so you'll need a piece of plywood or board of some sort for it to sit on. The monitor was fairly easy to set up and adjust the sensitivity for it. Although there wasn't a way to adjust the volume? I wish it was more user-friendly, as my baby still wakes to nurse 2-3 times a night, the beeping would go off while he was out of his crib unless I turned off the nursery unit every time. Also it doesn't come with a parent unit, so you'll need to listen for the beeping through the baby monitor, I suppose. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this product for new parents until some of the aforementioned kinks are worked out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pros (& some cons) I was lucky enough to try this product through the WeePanel (so thank you!). I love that this is a wireless unit, I'm all about not having a million cords all over the nursery. The ease of installation was pretty good and once it was set up it was very user friendly in my opinion. The wireless movement sensor pad was easy to setup. The design is really beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.I was able to set the sensitivity settings to work for my baby but I did not like that the unit beeps pretty loudly and there is no way to adjust the volume. , but it beeps really loud. My 6 month old is still getting up to nurse at night so the loud beeps when I took her out of the crib were kind of annoying.Having the peace of mind of knowing our little one is safe is priceless but there are a few quirks with this unit that I think could be improved for better overall usage.

Can this be used in a bassinet?

Asked by: TS108
Hi and thank you for your question. The Sensor Pad is ment to work under a regular mattress. the bassinets often has a cardboard piece under the foam and it is this piece that would rest on the Sensor Pad. We do not recommend the use in a bassinet for this reason.

In the nightmarish event that my cat will lie down with my son, next to him, or even worse over him, and therefore block his ability to breath. Will angelcare alert me or it will detect my cats breathing/movement as normal baby activity?

Asked by: Sofiav8
Thanks for your question. As the Sensor Pad is sprung (the top and bottom are separated internally by springs in the each corner), it is the buoyancy of the springs that collects the vibrations from movements, amplifies it and transmits it to the Nursery Unit. If you cat is on the bed, the Sensor Pad will track breathing movement of your cat and the alarm won't go OFF. The Sensor Pad can't make the difference between the breathing of a baby or a cat. If you need any further advice please do let us know.

Our mattress does have memory foam I believe in it. Does this mean this product wouldn’t work for us?

Asked by: vallery930
Thanks for your interest in Angelcare Monitor Too many layers and/or a thick mattress could affect the Sensor Pad’s ability to monitor your baby effectively. Every child is an individual and will have a different pattern of movement. With this in mind the sensitivity of the Sensor Pad can be adjusted to suit different sleeping arrangements/mattresses. We know that the Sensor Pad will NOT work with a hollow framed, memory foam, high density mattress. The thick density of the foam masks your baby’s movements and the monitor will alarm. Please check with your Brand Mattress directly as if this is the case we would not recommend that you use a Sensor pad with this particular mattress. We would suggest when purchasing any mattress for your baby that you take the above points into consideration. We hope that this information helps, if you need any further advice please do let us know.
