One night, at three weeks young, Florence was put to sleep in her crib, following all safe sleep guidelines. Two hours into her sleep, the Angelcare breathing movement monitor alarm sounded; our little girl lay unconscious and required cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to save her.
In hospital, it was deemed that Florence had an infection and once treated she would be okay and this would not happen again.
Five weeks later, at two months young, the worst had happened again. The alarm system on the Angelcare breathing movement monitor had sounded, recognizing that Florence had not taken a breath for 20 seconds, and she required CPR again.
After a week of hospitalization, Florence was diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea and Periodic Breathing. Florence now has oxygen delivered via nasal prongs to help her breathe until she gets strong enough not to require the added assistance.
Without the breathing movement monitor we would not have been alerted and woken by the alarms and our little princess would have passed.
The monitor contributed to saving our daughter and for that we are forever grateful.

My little boy was born prematurely at 28 weeks, 5 years ago. He spent 9 weeks in the neonatal unit. He had a few episodes in hospital when he stopped breathing so I looked for a monitor that picked up movement. I chose the Angelcare monitor with the sensor pad as it had good reviews. I asked the neonatal unit if they recommend them and they had never heard of them!! I went ahead and bought it anyway and it was the best thing I have ever bought and I would HIGHLY recommend it!! 5 days after my son came home from hospital the alarm went off! My worst nightmare. Luckily as soon as I picked him up he started breathing again. Went to the hospital to be checked over and they released him soon after. I truly believe that the Angelcare sensor pad saved my son's life.

Dear Angelcare, thank you. My message is slightly different than what I assume is your typical thank you note. I received an older Angelcare system from my sister who was about to throw her unused, still wrapped in a sealed box system in a yard sale. For us, the Angelcare system was a last attempt to try and literally save my daughter’s life. Allie is in multiple organ failure and has some developmental delays. She cannot eat because of her condition. She receives all her nutrition through an IV line. If that line breaks, it opens the risk to infection. Allie has had several infections, some very serious and have taken her to death’s door. In recent months, Allie has broken the line several times. Her dad and I were at our wits’ end. We were up all night making sure she didn’t get out of bed unassisted for bathroom trips because in a sleepy haze she has stepped on the line and it snapped. We were exhausted. Enter Angelcare. We have been using our monitor for a month now. Angelcare has made her safe. My husband and I are sleeping and our family is a happier one because of that. Because of you, my daughter is safer than she’s been in a long time. Thank you Angelcare.

The Angelcare Baby Monitor is worth its weight in gold. In January 2018, around 4 am, the movement monitor went off which signals that it hasn’t detected movement for 20 seconds. I jumped up pretty sharpish but expected that my 8-month-old, Alexandra, had rolled onto her side or off it. But when I got there she was flat on her back, still as a post, chest not inflating or deflating, she wasn’t actually breathing. To say my heart sank is an understatement.
I shook her chest and my little girl took this sharp, deep inhale of breath and then carried on as if nothing happened. She’s been checked over and seems ok. We’re hoping it’s a one-off and won’t happen again but there are things that can be done if it does.
I’ll be forever grateful to the person who invented Angelcare movement monitors for babies. My little one might not be here if they hadn’t.

A few nights ago, we put down Hunter to sleep on his back, like we’ve been told by his pediatrician. He not only rolled onto his stomach but into the side of the crib. The Angelcare monitor is designed to alert us and go off when no movement is detected. When it went off, it immediately startled me out of a deep sleep. I raced to his bedroom and saw his precious little face pressed into the back of his crib, clearly suffocating him.
If we had not had this device, who knows what would have happened to him? Such a scary experience but lucky to have the Angelcare monitor to give us extra peace of mind.

I am writing to you today to praise your product.
Yesterday, we experienced every new parents’ worst nightmare. Our son, Kayden, who is almost 8 months old was asleep in his crib. I was at work and my wife, Tanya, was at home with our son. At approximately 7:30 pm, while my wife was in the kitchen making dinner, the first stage of the movement sensor alarm sounded. Having tested the unit several times, she was immediately alerted and went to check on him just as the alarm began to sound. She found him not breathing and quickly acted as she is trained to handle such situations at her job, working as a flight attendant for a regional South African airline.
Because she got to him so quickly, thanks to the alarm of the Angelcare unit, she was able to revive Kayden.
He spent the night in hospital for observation and was released today happy and healthy.
We are so unbelievably grateful that your product works so well it literally save our son’s life. Tanya and I will forever be grateful.
No parent should ever have to face the horror of losing a child let alone a helpless baby who should be sleeping, safe and warm.

My baby boy, Miles, loves his Angelcare bath seat, every night before bed we give him a bath and he loves it!
It’s so easy to use, keeps him in a nice upright position and it doesn’t give me an achy back from having to hold him up! It’s great! Would highly recommend all other mums to buy this! I’m looking forward to trying the Angelcare bath-seat from 6 months!
